First I would like to thank everyone for giving feedback over the time between the last competition and this one. We always appreciate feedback and take the community opinion in to account.

That said. Let's get to the point.

Goal


As in past competitions the goal of the competition is to spur up development and garner interest in developing for Sponge along with giving away some neat prizes.

We're expecting to see some quality, exciting and breath-taking plugins. So let's go!

Rules and Requirements

• Code used must not be part of another project that does not have an OSI-compliant license.
• Must be a plugin for SpongeAPI (NMS and other dependencies are allowed but it should be primarily SpongeAPI).
• Must be a OSI-compliant license with a public-facing source repo.
• Must be in Java (cannot use Scala/Kotlin/other Java-based languages).
• Must be a plugin that is one of the following...
  a.) A new plugin.
  b.) A plugin that is relatively new (no more than a month old).
  c.) A plugin that is not that popular/has a small user-base.
  d.) A plugin that is a port from another project (Forge, Bukkit, Canary, etc).
• The plugin must be compatible with SpongeAPI by submission deadline.
• Only one submission per person. If more than one submission is found by the same user then we will only use the last submission.
• You must be 17+ or have signed approval from your parent/guardian.

Prize


We've extended our options this time around to give the winners a broader range to choose from. Here are the options...

Runner-Up: $40 in value from the prizes below.
Winner: $60 in value from the prizes below.

• Up to 3 games totaling to the value won from either Steam, Origin or GreenManGaming.
• A gift card totaling in the value won from either the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, Xbox Store, or GameStop.

** Prize options are not guaranteed and are limited by availability of the given prize at time of collection
** Prizes may not be combined, altered, or presented in cash value.

Timeframe


Submission Deadline: September 30th 2016 by 11:59 UTC-5
Review: October 1st 2016 through October 21st 2016
Reveal: During State of Sponge on October 29th 2016
